Portable Appliance Tester (PAT Testing) - Euro PAT
Test, Lincoln, UK
Euro Pat Test offers the most flexible method of
working and a variety of reporting styles to suit your own needs
when it comes to portable appliance testing. We don't tie you to
contracts for years on end like some companies do, we believe
that our work speaks for itself so you will keep coming back to
us. With many years experience in the field of portable
appliance testing (PAT) and general electrical equipment
testing, we have built a strong and unrivalled reputation for
excellence. We don't make any wild and imaginative claims about
what we can do, our reputation and customers do that for us.
Portable Appliance Tester, Electrical Health and Safety At Work

Portable appliance tester (PAT Testing) is a requirement of
the health and safety at work act and is covered by the electric
at work act. This requires any employer or any business that has
customers or visitors to have all there electrical appliances
tested at the required intervals ensuring they are safe to be
used, for the safety of employees and any visitors. It is not
only a requirement of the Health and Safety Executive but in
many cases insurance companies, land lords and even some local
authorities. The effects of not having a PAT certificate can be
loss of an insurance claim (fire, damage, equipment replacement,
injury, loss of earnings). The difference between showing Due
Diligence and Negligence can be covered by a matter of pence per
item.
Many companies that we have visited have been surprised by what
we have found on there premises and the danger of accident to
equipment or staff. They have at that point appreciated the
importance of PAT testing. Things like, exposed wire or inner
cables, damaged flex, incorrect wiring on plugs. Plugs that have
a higher rated fuse are at risk as the protection of the fuse is
removed by fitting the incorrect fuse. Cracked or missing parts
of casing another high risk.
Workshops, kitchens, pools,
exhibition equipment, mobile disco equipment factories are some
of the high risk industries. Hospitals, schools, nurseries, care
homes, care in community centres are all industries were extra
precaution should be taken. Would you put your loved one into
some were that does not show the relevant consideration for
safety and care.
Euro Pat Test have the experience to help and guide in all these
areas and more. A truly independent company offering a flexible
service and friendly advice.
"We found Euro
Pat Test to be very professional and flexible. They
made every effort to ensure equipment testing did not
interfere with the operations of the business"
Kind Regards
Neil Cottingham
