Euro Pat Test offers the most flexible method of working with a variety of reporting styles to suit your needs when it comes to Portable Appliance Testing. Unlike some companies we do not tie you to contracts for years on end. We believe our work speaks for itself so you will keep coming back to us.
With many years experience in the field of both portable appliance testing (PAT) and general electrical equipment testing, we have built a strong and unrivalled reputation for excellence. We don't make any wild and imaginative claims about what we can do, our reputation and customers do that for us.
Portable appliance testing (PAT Testing) is a requirement of the Health & Safety at Work Act and is covered by the The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. This requires any Employer or any business that has customers or visitors to have all their electrical appliances tested. This is to be done at the required intervals ensuring they are safe to be used for the safety of employees and any visitors.
It is not only a requirement of the Health and Safety Executive but in many cases insurance companies, land lords and even some local authorities. The effects of not having a PAT certificate can cause a loss of an insurance claim (fire, damage, equipment replacement, injury, loss of earnings). The difference between showing Due Diligence and Negligence can be covered by a matter of pence per item.

Many companies visited have been surprised by what we have found on their premises and the danger of accident to equipment or staff. They have at that point appreciated the importance of PAT testing. Things like, exposed wire or inner cables, damaged flex, incorrect wiring on plugs. Plugs that have a higher rated fuse are at risk as the protection of the fuse is removed by fitting the incorrect fuse. Cracked or missing parts of protective casing are another high risk.
Workshops, kitchens, pools, exhibition equipment, mobile disco equipment and factories are some of the high risk industries we work with. Hospitals, schools, nurseries, care homes, care in community centres are all industries also were extra precautions should be taken. Would you put your loved one into some were that does not show the consideration for safety and care?
Euro Pat Test have the experience to help and advise in all these areas and more. A truly independent company offering a flexible service and friendly advice.
